Transparent

Relational

Purpose-Driven

Growing up, I was often referred to as "the quiet one," preferring solitude and rarely engaging in conversations. However, as time passed, I've grown to deeply cherish the art of connecting with others, gradually breaking out of my introverted shell to forge genuine connections. I've transformed from being a self-described introvert into someone who highly values relationships and effective communication.

Connecting with people has become one of my greatest passions, and I hold relationships in the highest regard. My overarching goal is to approach every interaction with intentionality, whether it's nurturing a close friendship or fostering a productive working relationship. Most importantly, my relationship with Jesus Christ is a driving force in my life, shaping my purpose and identity. It continually molds me into the person I am today and fuels my commitment to the work I do.

Speaking Background

As a teenager, I discovered my passion for public speaking when I delivered my first sermon in church at the age of 17. Speaking is not something that I ever thought I would be passionate about. If you knew me growing up, I was not necessarily the most talkative person and I dealt with a lot of anxiety. I had to learn to navigate this dichotomy of loving public speaking and experiencing panic attacks due to anxiety and social phobia. Despite this dichotomy, I have had the opportunity to speak and present consistently over the past decade.

During my time in college, I spent 3 years volunteering in Youth Ministry where I regularly facilitated small group discussions with middle and high school students and was graciously provided many opportunities to preach for their weekly student service. After college, I spent more time in ministry, working with students and preaching on multiple occasions throughout the year for Sunday morning services.

My speaking journey has also involved significant learning and training. I am a trained Mental Health First Aid Instructor, certified in Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment training, and am a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member. It is quite the range of topics, but I am grateful to have had opportunities to talk about mental health, substance misuse, leadership, and so much more over the years.

To me, public speaking is more than standing up on a stage and sharing a presentation. Sure, that might be one aspect. But it also involves small group discussions, one-on-one conversations, and in this day in age, virtual presentations. I have been working on growing in all of those areas and continuing to develop myself in all aspects of public speaking. John Maxwell says, “Leaders aren’t born, they are developed.” I think the same can be said for speaking. Great speakers aren’t born, they are developed. It takes time and serious effort to grow as a speaker. My goal is to continue to develop to provide you with an impactful and authentic speaker.
